The Gordal variety takes its name from its large size, with an average weight of 12 grams. This olive variety is highly prized by consumers worldwide due to its size.

It should be noted that this variety is primarily grown in the western part of Andalusia, in particular, in the province of Seville and, to a lesser extent, in certain areas of Huelva and Cordoba.

gordal-2

As with Manzanilla Fina, “Sevillian-style” Gordal is the most favoured by consumers.

This highly prized olive with a unique flavour can be enjoyed in various ways, e.g. whole, pitted or stuffed with different fillings.

It should also be noted that it has a medium-high flesh-to-pit ratio. Its high nutritional and organoleptic value makes it a healthy snack with a unique flavour.
